Katie Bender Wynn is an LA-based director working in long-form narrative documentary. She is currently directing an untitled 3-part docu-series for Skydance Sports, Meadowlark Media, and Institute Pictures. In 2023, she directed Matildas: The World at Our Feet, a 6-part docu-series for Disney+ following the Australian National Women’s Football Team as they prepare for the 2023 Women’s World Cup on home soil. In 2021, she directed We Champion, a branded short documentary for Wheaties featuring Olympic legend Tommie Smith for the Cannes Lions Festival. In 2020, Katie was a story producer for Netflix's Home Game and made her directorial debut in 2016 with The Will to Fly, a feature documentary about Olympic champion aerial skier Lydia Lassila. The film released theatrically in cinemas across Australia and has since been sold to National Geographic, Canal+, and Stan.
